FAQs
Questions, answered.
Straight answers to the questions parents and teens ask most.
What if my teen misses a session?
We understand that life happens and plans can change. However, The Foundry is intentionally designed as a four-week journey, with each session building on the last. To get the full benefit of the programme, participants are expected to attend every session. We encourage families to make every effort to prioritize these dates.
Can someone join after Week 1?
No. The Foundry does not accept participants after the first session. The programme is intentionally structured as a cohesive four-week experience, with each week laying the foundation for the next. Joining partway through would mean missing key concepts and discussions that shape the rest of the journey. If you're unable to join this cohort, we encourage you to look out for future cohorts.
Is The Foundry denominational?
No. The Foundry is not affiliated with or designed around any particular Christian denomination. Our aim is to help young people develop a thoughtful, personal, and biblically grounded faith by engaging honestly with foundational questions about Christianity. Participants from a variety of Christian backgrounds are welcome.
What should participants bring?
Bring a Bible, something to take notes with, a heart that is open to learn, and a mind that is ready to ask questions. The Foundry isn't a place where curiosity is discouraged — it's a place where thoughtful questions are welcomed and explored.
Is there homework?
Yes. Learning doesn't stop when the session ends. Each week, participants will complete a short assignment that reinforces what they've learned. This includes recording and uploading a brief video response to guided questions based on that week's topic. These weekly reflections are designed not only to deepen understanding, but also to help participants develop the confidence, clarity, and oratory skills to thoughtfully articulate and defend what they believe.
